Thursday 12 th May 2011: Wired Productions, the team behind We Sing, the top-selling karaoke-style series of games for the Wii, has hired a new product manager and producer as the company gears up for the launch of We Dance and new additions to the We Sing family.
Sean Walsh joins with immediate effect in the newly created role of product manager, having most recently held the position of European product manager at Disney Interactive Studios where he worked on titles including Alice in Wonderland and Tron: Evolution. Prior to that, he was product manager at Empire Interactive.
Wired Productions is the exclusive production house for Nordic Games. Walsh’s appointment will facilitate a closer working relationship between the two companies, enhancing the mutually beneficial working relationship already in place.
Reporting directly to Leo Zullo, Wired Productions’ managing director, Walsh’s key responsibilities include managing UK marketing strategies for all Wired Productions’ and Nordic Games’ releases, asset creation and providing support to territory marketing teams.
He will also be responsible for supporting the sales team with retail strategies, managing external partners and social media campaigns. Walsh has 10 years experience in the entertainment and gaming industries. A marketing assistant will report directly into Walsh.
Additionally, Nana Penemo has joined Wired Productions as producer, bringing with him over 12 years of industry experience. Penemo most recently worked at nDreams and 2K Games, and has also worked at Konami, Virgin Interactive, Mercury Games and Bam! Entertainment.
Reporting into Jason Harman, production director, he is responsible for allocated products at all stages of development and will manage all projects from idea through to gold master.
