Grandendroit, the indie-dev team behind the exciting new auto-runner Death Boulder Bones, has released a new demo in conjunction with their ongoing Kickstarter campaign. The game is a  new take on the popular runner genre, featuring a never before seen indirect control scheme, a key factor in DBB placing as one of the top three finalists in season two of IGN’s Next Game Boss. The demo is available immediately on Mac, Windows, and Linux. With a positive early response from players and critics alike, the game is expected to shake up the moribund runner genre when it releases later this year.

The Kickstarter campaign features a $28,000 goal aimed at purchasing and licensing technology, and allowing the previously part-time developers to work full-time in order to meet a summer release. Additionally, backers will receive a variety of thank-you gifts, including custom figurines, artwork, tee shirts, and in-game digital content.

About Death Boulder Bones

Death Boulder Bones is an innovative auto-runner currently in-development, which has you controlling the environment instead of the character. Using your mouse or touch screen, you draw walls, jumps, and even control time itself in order to lead the nearsighted adventurer, Dr. Indianapolis Bones to the exit. Players will be able to take the easy path, or challenge themselves to collect the many artifacts and secrets hidden throughout each level. It’s a little Lemmings, a little Braid, and a lot of fun.

About Grandendroit

Grandendroit began in 2009 when coder Eli Delventhal and artist Seth Robles met during the first Global Game Jam. Frustrated with the difficulty of realizing their creativity at their day jobs in the gaming establishment, Grandendroit became a place for their ideas to take flight. In 2011, they brought artists Darrell Atienza and David Feng on board, and shifted focus from an ambitious action-RPG Lab Rinth, to the innovate runner Death Boulder Bones. DBB is now in alpha and appears on IGN’s Next Game Boss, much to the team’s excitement.
