FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A new Facebook game which allows users to build and manage their own theme park is proving very popular, organically gaining 1 million users in the 10 short weeks since its launch.
Amusement park sim game ‘Rollercoaster Mania’ from Noisy Duck has proved to be a hit on Facebook, gaining 1.2 million users organically in just over 10 weeks and the number of users continuing to rise by around 35,000 users a day.
Rollercoaster Mania is the brainchild of Andy Savage, who created the game simply because there weren’t, in his opinion, any good amusement park sims available on Facebook at the time and he wanted to play something that didn’t currently exist.
Rollercoaster Mania is based on the construction of an amusement park. The game allows users to create their own theme park with rides such as the Haunted House and Flying Fish, along with other theme park necessities, such as hotdog and snack stands. Every ‘visitor’ in the park is an individual with their own desires and behaviours and users can follow them around the park; visualising their feedback.
The production values of the game have been high throughout, with constant attention to detail in both the artwork and the intricacies of the game, setting it apart from competitors.
Andy Savage, founder of Noisy Duck and creator of Rollercoaster Mania, had the following to say about the game’s success:
“The original motivation behind this game wasn’t driven by a business decision; I really was just looking for a game to play that didn’t currently exist! It’s been amazing to see how well it’s done and I can’t quite believe it!”
“It’s a refreshing take on the numerous sim games that are available on Facebook at the moment. Many players are looking for something that offers a little bit extra and Rollercoaster Mania does just that. It’s a great game to play with your friends online.”
