The group stage of the ESL Brink Championship was supposed to consist of four groups of four teams each. After the change it will now comprise eight groups of four. Naturally, it changes also the slot distribution from 16 to 32 at the moment. At the same time, ESL announces the Last Chance Qualifier intended for new teams as well as those participating in the current qualifiers. Those that will qualify in the current qualifiers, however, will not be allowed to participate again. The sign ups for the Last Chance Qualifier opened on May 26. The ESL Brink Championship is the first international tournament in Brink. It gathers the best teams from all over Europe, which face each other in the online competition and at then later in the finals of the tournament held at gamescom 2011 in Cologne, Germany. Top teams will be awarded a share of 15,000 Euro prize pot.
