Korean StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Player – Empire_Violet is the Major League Gaming (MLG), Spring Arena 2 champion!
After three days of intense competition, Violet finished first securing $10,000 and a guaranteed spot at MLG’s Spring Championship in Anaheim, CA, next month. Korean player Symbol took 2 nd place and $6,000 and French player Stephano captured 3 rd place and $3,600.
From May 18-20, 32 of the world’s best StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty players came from as far as Korea, Ukraine, Europe, Canada and throughout the US to compete for more than $26,000 in prizes. Spring Arena 2 was broadcast LIVE in HD via 11 streams to a global audience. VODs of the competition are now available online for those that purchased PPV.
The top 12 finishers from Spring Arena 2, along with the top 4 finishers from Spring Arena 1 held in April, will receive all-expenses paid trips to the Spring Championship at the Anaheim Convention Center from June 8-10 where they will compete for $76,000 in prizes. Spectator passes for the event are available online.
