Flawkes
The lead character, protagonist.
She is an engineer in training, good at fixing things, not so well at talking to gods and self-centered captains.
Flawkes has a straightforward“with both feet on the ground” attitude towards things. Naturally the current“everything is just flowing around without weight” situation isn’t really her thing.
She also has a mechanical brain.
Why? She does not know.
It is hard to remember the time before you had a brain, after all.
But one thing is for sure: the brain has come to stay!
