It’s the 10th edition of the conference, and the Nordic Game team’s eager to start the celebrations as well as sharing the status of Nordic Game 2013, 22-24 May in Malmö, Sweden, as it looks right now:??
More visitors than ever before
We are very happy to announce that we’re breaking the previous visitor record for the conference. The Nordic Game Awards Gala Dinner on 23 May is sold out, and all seats for lunches during the two conference days have been reserved now.
There’s still plenty of room for more conference visitors though, so don’t hesitate to sign up right now at www.nordicgame.com. Even without a reserved seat in the Autodesk Dining Hall you won’t be starving, as there’s plenty of good food options around the conference venue .
More international guests
We’ve also seen a significant increase in the number of guests from outside the Nordic region. This is fantastic, because it gives our Nordic peers an even greater incentive to attend and meet, not only with their colleagues from the Nordic industry, but also with a long list of companies from around the globe.
77 companies have signed up for Pitch & Match, the b2b system which premiered last year at the NG12 conference. Ok, 77 is actually 2 less than last year, but with attending companies such as Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, and plenty of publishers, investors in the system as well, we’re are certain that this record will be broken too before conference start. We can only encourage even more Nordic developers to sign up, as this is a great business opportunity.
There are 57 sessions to choose from in the strongest program of the conference's history, featuring speakers such as Tim Schafer, Double Fine Productions, Julie Uhrman, founder and CEO, OUYA, David Helgason, CEO, Unity Technologies, the audio crew for TellTales “The Walking Dead: The Game”, and many, many more.
More than 37 exhibitors will be present in the Expo Area, including Unity, Rovio, Blackberry, Nintendo, Innogames, ARM, and Sony.??
There will be a string of networking events to attend, starting with the Nordic Game Indie Night on 22 May, and including Happy Hour and Development Grants Ceremony during the conference days on 23-24 May. Also some great parties to enjoy, including our Nordic Game Awards Gala Dinner, as well as the local version of the renowned Nordic Party.??
None of the above would be possible without support from a record-breaking number of Nordic Game sponsors. We are so happy with you, Autodesk, BlackBerry, Sony, Unity, Simplygon, Rovio, Innogames, King, Basho, Applifier, ARM, Softlayer, and 10gen, and we're looking forward to meeting you all!
See you in Malmø on 22-24 May, then. Register now at www.nordicgame.com.??
