www.NowGamer.com has set a new record for its unique visitor numbers, clocking up an impressive 1,151,450 visitors for November 2011 (source: Google Analytics) – an increase of 123 per cent since the site was relaunched in July. The site also recorded 402,309 unique UK visitors and 2.1 million page impressions for the same period (source: Google Analytics).
NowGamer.com’s traffic has been climbing steadily since the site relaunched in July this year and this latest high puts it in the same category as other popular UK games sites such as CVG, VG247 and Videogamer.com.
While NowGamer has certainly benefited from a bumper gaming period, which has seen the release of Modern Warfare 3 and Skyrim and the announcement of GTA V, success has also come from timely editorial exclusives, a greater number of quality articles, the implementation of a new CMS, and the recent addition of the MMO Worlds – a channel dedicated entirely to MMORPGs.
More readers than ever before are coming to NowGamer to get their buying advice, gaming news and guides to playing the latest games. Since its launch in 2009, NowGamer has attracted a strong following of core gamers, with an average age of 32, split 63 per cent male, 37 per cent female – 80 per cent of whom play games at least once a day (Source: reader survey July 2011).
Nick Jones, NowGamer.com’s Editor in Chief, commented, “To reach this milestone in such a short period of time is a fantastic achievement for the team and I want to congratulate everyone involved. But this is just the beginning for NowGamer, and I see this as very much just the completion of stage one. We’ve got our sights set higher now and I’m confident that next year will be our best ever. We want to make NowGamer the best gaming site in the UK.”
“It seems like only recently we hit the 500k milestone with NowGamer and yet here we are already at the mighty million”, said Group Managing Director Damian Butt. “This is a superb achievement for the whole team and I am extremely proud of what they have achieved. NowGamer is the best it has ever been – and there’s plenty more to come!”
