O-GAMES TO UNLEASH‘THE LION’ ON 8th OCTOBER

Wellingbrough, UK– 13 August 2010– International videogame publisher O-Games today revealed the launch date for up-coming golf title, John Daly’s ProStroke Golf. The only golf game officially endorsed by‘The Lion’ himself, John Daly’s ProStroke Golf will offer fans of the genre a genuinely unique take on golf gaming when it officially tees off on 8th October for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

From Oxfordshire-based developer Gusto Games, John Daly’s ProStroke Golf is the spiritual sequel to Pro-Stroke Golf: World Tour 2007, incorporating all the features that have made the series a hit with gamers. The trademark ProStroke control system, a first-person view of the ball and club head, offers the closest representation of a natural golf swing available with no artificial barriers to impede shot performance. The title is also the first golf game to have been built from the ground up incorporating PlayStation Move technology, giving PlayStation 3 owners the ability to rotate the club head in real-time, punch and chip the ball according to the input movement, simulate weight transfer and much more.

John Daly’s ProStroke Golf represents the next chapter in an exciting adventure we started with Gusto Games back in the PlayStation 2 era,” commented Jim Scott, CEO of O-Games.“Given his eye-catching ability, personality and style, John Daly was a natural choice for us to front the title and we’re confident his fans, and those of golf overall will be suitably impressed.”

Sam Torrance and Peter Kessler provide lively commentary across 12 varied and challenging courses, populated with interactive spectators to bring a rich match-day atmosphere to life. Away from the tournaments and exhibitions gamers would expect from a golf title, the‘Challenge Mode’ offers a series of golfing trials presented by John Daly himself, as he takes players through the different disciplines of the game, from putting and approach play to the world famous‘Long John’ drive itself.

With the Ryder Cup in close proximity and fresh in the memory, players will be invited to‘Grip it and Rip it’ with John Daly’s ProStroke Golf from 8th October 2010, published by O-Games for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

About Gusto Games:

Since the formation of Gusto Games in 2003, the company has gone from strength to strength by building on its original goals to deliver quality gaming titles on time, within budget and across all leading gaming platforms. Gusto Games originally brought Eidos’ hugely successful Championship Manager franchise to the console and PSP platforms with all selling through at retail in impressive numbers.

Building on that success Gusto also featured within Intent Media’s‘Develop 100’ in 2007.

Gusto has continued to evolve with the successful launch of the Global Play Golf simulator and skill-based game UTour golf that keeps the company at the forefront of the industry. Over the last 12 months, there has been a focus on developing family products such as the Nintendo Wii exclusive Ultimate I Spy, while also continuing its proven record of accomplishment in developing games within the sporting genre, with the recent chart topping success of Ashes Cricket 2009 for the Nintendo Wii.
