Oberon Media Names Isaac Josephson Vice President, Product

NEW YORK - December 01, 2011 - Oberon Media, one of the world's leading multi-platform casual games companies, today announced the addition of Isaac Josephson as Vice President, Product. A digital media veteran with nearly two decades of experience in online content creation, curation, and distribution, Josephson will be responsible for continually improving Oberon's product offerings in order to ensure an outstanding gaming experience for its customers. Josephson will also be responsible for optimizing Oberon's Blaze platform - the company's all-new robust and scalable game distribution solution. Josephson will report to Megan Barbour, Senior Vice President, Product, Marketing and Business Intelligence.

"The recent launch of the Blaze platform opens up a completely new opportunity to apply analytics and business intelligence to optimize the delivery of games to our customers," said Oberon COO/President Bob Hayes. "Isaac has the ideal background and experience to take full advantage of that and bring us to a new level of performance."

Josephson comes to Oberon after a successful tenure at ABC News, where, as Vice President of Product Development, he oversaw product management, project management and analytics for the company's digital and mobile initiatives. During his five year tenure at ABC, he introduced best practices, guiding the organization to a more ROI-based, user-focused culture where creativity was married to metrics to help drive priorities and measure success.

Prior to ABC News, Josephson spent three years running the music division of the NPD Group, a global research and consulting company. He also served as Product Manager at Listen.com for the launch of the Rhapsody digital music subscription service, and as a product manager at Tunes.com where he managed the online presence of websites like Rollingstone.com and DownBeat.com. In 1994, Isaac co-founded Centerstage Chicago, the world's first online guide to local entertainment, arts and leisure. It was subsequently acquired by the Chicago Sun-Times. Josephson began his career with the Tribune Company where he was responsible for developing its corporate online presence and participated in the launch of Chicagotribune.com. He received his B.A. in rhetoric from Northwestern University, and is working on his M.A. in media studies at NYU.
