The indie developer MiniBoss has announced the release date of its new game, Out There Somewhere. The puzzle-platformer will be launched on February 21 and
its pre-order starts Monday, February 13th, through the studio’s blog ( http://studiominiboss.com/ ). Those who buy Out There Somewhere during the pre-order will receive the game’s original soundtrack with no additional costs.\
Inspired by PC games from the 90’s, Out There Somewhere has an innovative teleport mechanic. With aproximately 2 hours of gameplay time, it will cost US$4,99 through Desura ( http://www.desura.com/ ) and the developers’ blog ( http://studiominiboss.com/ ).
About Out There Somewhere
Made by Pedro Medeiros and Amora B., and with soundtrack composed by Iuri Rodrigues, the game is a retro puzzle-platformer that counts on a teleportation mechanic to solve its challenges. The player takes control of Yuri, the hero of Mother Planet, who’s searching for his arch-enemy Grigori in a distant planet. Currently the game works only on PCs, but a Mac version is in the studio’s plans.
MiniBoss was founded in Agust 2010 by Pedro Medeiros, also known as Saint11, and Amora B. They’ve participated in several development marathons, where they made games like Planetary Plan C , Down Goes the Phoenix , Frostbite and Trapped! In the Chamber of Eternal Darkness . Currently they’re working on Out There Somewhere and Talbot’s Odyssey .
The studio has received several prizes during the almost 2 years of its existence, such as e-Games 2010 from Sesc São Paulo, Gamesauce Challenge 2011, Game Music Brasil 2011, SBGames 2011 and Ludum Dare #22.
