NEW YORK– January 26, 2011 – Paradox Interactive today announced three new free-to-play online games that will launch on the Paradox Connect platform in 2011. The titles, Salem, Gettysburg: Armored Warfare, and Hearts of Iron: The Card Game were revealed late last week in New York City at the annual Paradox Convention. The three new games complement the previously announced Paradox Connect title in development: Dreamlords: Resurrection.
"The reaction of the media to the Paradox Connect line-up has confirmed that we’re on track with our strategy of creating and publishing games that appeal to the core gaming audience,” said Tom Söderlund, Project Lead for Paradox Connect.“By embracing games that take risks like permadeath in Salem and free collectibles in our online trading card games, we’re sure that Paradox is bringing something exciting and new to online gaming in 2011 and beyond.“
The announced 2011 Paradox Connect line-up includes:
- <*> Salem– A free-to-play crafting MMORPG title set in a mythical version of New England.*> <*> Gettysburg: Armored Warfare– A free-to-play FPS/ RTS hybrid. The game is set during an alternate version of the Civil War and includes tanks, zeppelins, a wide variety of firearms and much more.*> <*> Hearts of Iron: The Card Game– A browser-based, free-to-play digital collectable card game based on the Hearts of Iron franchise.*> <*> Dreamlords: Resurrection– A free-to-play Massively Multiplayer Online Real-Time Strategy (MMORTS) game.
