Do you like pixels? Do you like them REALLY big? If so, there’s a good chance that you also like PIXELJAM. Have you played our games POTATOMAN SEEKS THE TROOF? DINO RUN SE? MARATHON OF DOOM? SNOWBALL?
BITKU? If you answered NO to any of those questions, you are in a very good position to make some positive changes in your life, as we are now offering our entire library of games and music for a dollar.
Of course if you happen to own more than 1 dollar, you can pay more.
What’s the advantage of paying more? Well, we get more money, that’s what. Clearly no [immediate] advantage to you, but know that your hard-earned dollars are going to a good cause. Are the extra dollars going to charity? Well, no. But some of the people who work at Pixeljam have small children, and sometimes those children are hungry, especially right when they wake up. So, if you want to think that your extra dollars are helping to feed hungry children, you would not be incorrect.
This collection of games is called the PIXELJAM OCTOLOGY, and just to perfectly clear, includes the following:
Potatoman Seeks the Troof: A unique and challenging potatosophical platforming adventure.
Bitku Beta: Create your own comics and expressions on a given theme, using randomly picked objects and backgrounds. It’s hard to explain, but very fun!
Dino Run SE: An expanded and improved version of one of the original runners, before runners were all the rage. It’s multiplayer as well!
Take that, non-multiplayer runners...
Marathon of Doom: An epic single-level Dino Run challenge.
Snowball: A winter-themed pinball adventure. Also extremely cute and fun.
Pixeljams Volume 1: A collection of electronic and chip music from the Pixeljam Team, featuring Datassette, Miles Tilmann, Mark DeNardo, Dosh and Kate Simko.
Potatoman Soundtrack: All the music from the game, plus 2 bonus tracks. The guy who supplied Darth Maul’s voice in Star Wars confirmed that this is a good one.
Planeteri: An album of deep ambient music by Miles Tilmann, with a unique visualization for each track. Sort of like a highly pixelated lava lamp. It’s very pretty and relaxing, if you are into that sort of thing.
All of the games listed above are for MAC, PC and LINUX. We do not support the TI-89 but that would be pretty sweet, huh?
Don't forget we also have Gamma Bros and Ratmaze, but you can play those games on our site for free.
For anyone that pays more than 10 dollars, we are offering a membership to the PIXELJAM TREAT LIST. Every few months we will send all Treat List members something cool via email. It might be early access to a new game, a prototype or alpha that no one else will ever see, or it could be exclusive music or other goodies. It will NOT be tasteful nude photos of ourselves, so please stop asking.
Finally, we are using BUNDLE DRAGON technology to deliver the Octology to the masses. It sounds pretty neat, right? Well, that’s because it’s the same platform used to deliver the very stylish INDIE GAME MUSIC BUNDLE.
So, in conclusion, you can pay 1 dollar (or more) to get a bunch of great games and music made by very kind and hardworking people, some of whom have small children who are hungry in the morning. We would be thrilled if you paid more than a dollar, since it should be obvious that the whole 1 dollar thing is more of a marketing gimmick than a valid business model.
