March 5, 2013. Vestal, NY. Blitwise Productions, creator of simple and fun retro classics since 2001, announced today that both versions of "Pocket Tanks" for iPhone have been updated and optimized for iPhone 5. The update also fixes various minor bugs and makes several other improvements.
"Pocket Tanks" is a classic artillery duel game putting one or two players on the field of battle with a tank and a variety of weapons to modify terrain, increase defenses, and hide from incoming fire.
The Lite version of "Pocket Tanks" is a standalone game with 35 weapons and all the classic game modes including Target Practice for playing with no weapons restrictions as well as single and two-player modes. The Deluxe version is $4.99 and features 65 weapons--the 35 from the Lite version as well as 30 more--in the base game. Deluxe versions of "Pocket Tanks" can also be upgraded with expansion packs that add more weapons, with up to 130 weapons available with free expansions and over 295 weapons total with paid expansions added.
