Pockie Ninja II Social has got class

Publisher NGames have unveiled the ninja classes and village building gameplay details for their upcoming Naruto inspired social game, Pockie Ninja II Social.

Pockie Ninja II Social is an innovative browser-based social gaming experience. Based on the storyline of Naruto, the gorgeous upcoming anime game combines village building and strategic battles to create an exciting, brand new ninja world for players to explore and conquer.

An intriguing friends system lets players invade, rescue, assist and form alliances within their social network.

There will be 84 different ninjas to choose from when the game launches, which can be used for both village building and in battle as part of a formidable ninja army.

Three schools of ninja

There are 3 unique flavours of ninja to choose from in Pockie Ninja II Social, each boasting their own unique strengths when used on the turn-based battlefield.

A balanced class system allows players to construct armies with a strategic mix of Taijutsu, Ninja Tool, and Ninjutsu specialists. Much like a rock-paper-scissors strategy, each class of ninja restricts the abilities of another, meaning players must balance their army to ensure a winning combat formula.

Taijutsu ninjas are particularly effective against Ninja Tool, Ninja Tool are best used against Ninjutsu warriors, while Ninjutsu are the go-to combatants when faced with Taijutsu opponents.

However, players can enhance and upgrade their ninjas through a dedicated Ninja menu, allowing armies to be customised to suit the needs of the player.

Struggling players can call on their social network for help in times of need. Asking friends for assistance will not only greatly improve chances of success, but also unlock special skills and buffs that actively encourage strategic teamwork.

Players with an evil streak (or a grudge!) can even send their armies to invade their friends villages instead, collecting tax from the occupied areas to increase their own income.

Village building and Chakra

Pockie Ninja II Social's village building is based on an EXP levelling system. Players can gain village EXP by completing various events and raising the level of their buildings as they strive for dominance. Raising a villages prosperity is vital for expansion, with higher levels of prosperity unlocking new buildings in the in-game mall.

Both battles and village construction costs Chakra - the vital resource of the ninja world. Chakra slowly restores itself over time, though players can get extra Chakra from friends and the in-game mall if they need a boost.

Pockie Ninja II Social also features a currency, Ryo, which is obtained through buildings, completing quests, invading villages and collecting taxes. Ryo is used to build villages, recruit new ninjas and buy Ninjutsu books.
