PlayJam, the company behind GameStick, today announced that it had partnered with Korean and Japanese hardware manufacturer Avantis to license it’s TV games platform technology to power a new games console destined for the Korean and Japanese markets. "Bringing affordable games to the big screen is absolutely central to PlayJam’s mission”, says Jasper Smith, CEO, PlayJam. “The TV games eco-system is rapidly evolving with a number of hardware manufacturers expected to enter the market over the coming years. Features such as worldwidebilling, leader-boards, tournaments, ad serving and analytics can be quickly integrated via PlayJam’s SDK prior to distribution across its network of supported devices.

"This is the start of a new era for the development and distribution of games on TV and we are excited to be at the center of it”, continued Smith. “PlayJam is partnering with some great companies such as Green Throttle Games and Avantis to shape and establish an ecosystem around what we believe will be the future of affordable gaming on the big screen.
