Press Release: Record download success for Newcastle based games developer.

Fluid Pixel Ltd, who develop software for mobile devices, are now part of an elite club of eight other UK members of the Nokia Ovi Store who have also achieved a record amount of downloads worldwide. The high number of downloads was lead by their hit game Revolve and also includes exclusive official licensed content for the Italian National Football team and a home grown virtual pet game, Animentals.

The growing mixture of unique IP and licensed content has given Fluid Pixel Ltd an exciting portfolio to take forward in 2011.

Fluid Pixel Founder, Stuart Varrall said:“The team has done a great job and it's exciting to see the results from all their hard work. We have also released content for the iPhone and iPad, but this extra success on Nokia's platform is a great outcome for the company.  Most people have written off Nokia and the Ovi Store, but this makes it clear there is actually a big market waiting for the right kind of content.”

The successful Ovi games and apps were developed using the Adobe Flash platform and are currently being made available on the Android market through the AIR packager. Fluid Pixel is hoping to conquer this Android market next, along with the new Blackberry and Amazon stores.
