If you were wondering what the best reviewed iPhone games and apps on the web last month were, here's the Quality Index ( Qi) round-up for June to fill you in.
Qualityindex.com boasts over 70,000 scores from the world's best websites, such as 148Apps, Pocket Gamer, and NoDPad, and uses a unique metric to create a single definitive score for each iPhone title.
Here are June 2011's top selections...
Quality Index Top 10 iPhone games June 2011
GAME NAME PUBLISHER Qi
Quality Index Top 10 iPhone apps to June 2011
APP NAME PUBLISHER Qi
(N.B. The monthly games chart is based on titles released and reviewed in the last month. The apps chart is based on titles released and reviewed over the last three months. Hence, this is not a cumulative chart and earlier released titles may have higher scores.)
Sonic The Hedgehog may well have blown out the candles on his 20th birthday cake last week, but Chillingo's arcade puzzler Rocket Bunnies was in no mood to just gift the speedy anthropomorphic porcupine and his Sega All-Star Racing comrades the #1 games ranking for June. The prolific publisher of Angry Birds and Cut the Rope tasted further success this month on Qi's chart, as another of its braintwisters Feed Me Oil gobbled up 6th place ahead of Gamerizon's slash-'em-up Chop Chop Slicer and the latest in the long-running slugger series of Baseball Superstars.
Anyone who's sampled the delights, meanwhile, of Spilt Milk Studios's 3rd placed Hard Lines will undoubtedly have been tickled by the witty one-liners uttered by the antagonists. And if you feel inspired to share some of these wisecracks and witticisms with your Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare followers, why not kill three birds with one iPhone using Quipster. On the subject of Zuckerberg's ubiquitous social network, Diptic (from Peak Systems) encourages amateur photographers to flex their creative muscles by framing multiple images into a single composition before sharing the resultant mash-up with their online buddies.
We'll continue to provide an updated listing each and every month, together with a round-up of the year. For all the up-to-date information on which games, apps, and publishers are reviewing best, head on over to the Quality Index now.
