(N.B. The monthly games chart is based on titles released and reviewed in the last month. The apps chart is based on titles reviewed over the last three months. Hence, this is not a cumulative chart and earlier released titles may have higher scores.)

Don't let Finding Teddy's cute name and graphics fool you. LookAtMyGame's, err, game tops the September Android Qi game chart through some challengingly hands-off point-and-click adventuring. Following closely behind is Reaper, the latest offering from prolific Android developer Hexage. This time around, the company adds its typically fresh spin to the action-RPG genre. A little further down the charts at #7 is SimpleRockets, in which you build your own rocket ships and send them into space. EA's FIFA 14, meanwhile, has to settle for eight place on this month's premier league games table. In the newest iteration of EA's long-running footy sim series, the gaming titan adds a generous freemium structure and unusual single-finger controls to the usual team and player updates.

With so much high-quality TV out there right now, an app like SeriesGuide was always bound to do well among app reviewers. This clever way to track, share, and 'follow' your favourite shows tops the September Android Qi app chart. The football season is in full swing around Europe, and THE Football App is proving a big hit at #3 in the Android community. Here, motain rounds up news, videos, fixtures, and results from more than 100 domestic competitions around the world. Just behind that at #4, the maker of StoryPod curates the best short films from around the web. Fans of Bjork and ambitious multimedia projects in general will want to check out Biophilia, by the way. In this app, nine of 'Biophilia' album's tracks are presented as standalone multimedia experiences incorporating sound, animation, and 3D artwork. Swell.

We'll continue to provide an updated listing each and every month, together with a round-up of the year. For all the up-to-date information on which Android games, apps, and publishers are reviewing best, head on over to the  Android Quality Index  now.
