(N.B. The monthly games chart is based on titles released and reviewed in the last month. The apps chart is based on titles reviewed over the last three months. Hence, this is not a cumulative chart and earlier released titles may have higher scores.)

Letter Attack is the highest-scoring game in April's iPad Qi game chart. The word game business is on a bit of a high at the moment, and heftyApps's attempt is a worthwhile addition to the genre. Not far behind at #3 is Gemini Rue, yet another classic point-and-click adventure game that has successfully made the jump to iOS. This masterful sci-fi detective story has the critics hooked. In fourth spot, the maker of Badland takes one-button gameplay to all new levels of artistry. Featuring an enchanting silhouette art style and a mysterious world, Frogmind's game is a tactile delight. Finally, we h

ave the much-anticipated sequel to an iOS great. Yes, in Cut the Rope: Time Travel we witness the return of the candy-chomping Om Nom. This time around, though, he's accompanied by a variety of time-displaced partners, which mixes up the physics-puzzling rather nicely.

Loopster claims its app is "the world’s easiest to use HD video editing app," and its position atop the iPad Qi app chart for April certainly lends credence to that statement. Here, you can rotate, crop, and splice your footage without ever leaving your iPad. Creating a photo scrapbook is a great idea, but it's pretty time and labour intensive. That's where Social Scrapbook Pro comes in at #3. With this tool, you can cleverly use your Facebook Timeline to generate a vibrant photo journal. Down in sixth spot, the brains behind Meeting+ Effective Meetings Manager promise to boost the productivity of your meetings, enabling you to craft agendas, manage attendees, and share minutes from a single app. Finally, we have the perfect note-taking app for creative sorts. Logic Colony appreciates the visual side of capturing inspiration, so has engineered an app, Codex, that enables you to draw effective illustrations and group related scribbles and thoughts intuitively.

We'll continue to provide an updated listing each and every month, together with a round-up of the year. For all the up-to-date information on which iPad games, apps, and publishers are reviewing best, head on over to the  iPad Quality Index  now.
