The UK conference, held in Brighton, welcomed thousands of guests and 100% Indie’s stand in particular was a hub for indie developers, as the initiative can help them get their games published on Samsung Apps.*

“This is 100% Indie’s first Develop conference and it was a huge success,” says Joe Wee, Founder of Chillingo who is now spearheading the 100% indie initiative with Samsung. “It was a brilliant opportunity to meet developers and technological pioneers and celebrate the genuine passion and talent in this industry. There’s a huge amount of raw talent out there and it was exciting to meet so many developers who are keen to bring their games to market as Samsung Apps.”

A great number of these developers had created 16 and even 8-bit style games, giving more than a nod to classic games of the past. 100% Indie took 30 Indie Heroes titles to the show – 30 of the initiative’s most popular games that have been self-published on Samsung Apps. The team also interviewed developers and exhibitors at the show and met with hundreds of indie developers, hosting a beach party to celebrate the growth of the indie gaming industry.
