ROCK BAND® Wii™ OWNERS GET SEVEN TRACKS FROM NIRVANA

Cambridge, Mass.– February 17, 2009 - Harmonix and MTV Games announced today the addition of seven tracks from alternative grunge band Nirvana to the Rock Band® Music Store catalog of downloadable content for Wii™ home videogame console from Nintendo.

The lineup includes seven master recordings from Nirvana’s 1991 album Nevermind including“Breed,”“Lounge Act,”“On a Plain,”“Polly,”“Something in the Way,”“Stay Away,” and“Territorial Pissings.” These tracks join“In Bloom” from the original Rock Band soundtrack and“Drain You” featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack to make for a total of nine Nirvana songs available in the Rock Band music catalog available to Wii owners.

This week’s offering comes from the Rock Band® Music Store catalog of downloadable content already released to owners of Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION® 3 computer entertainment system. Wii fans can expect a rollout of the previously released downloadable content until the entire back catalogue of more than 570 songs is available. In addition, the regularly scheduled future DLC releases for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 system will also be available for Rock Band 2 Wii owners soon.

Rock Band 2 is available now for Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation®2 systems and the Wii system. The Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and Wii versions support downloadable content.

Downloadable content for Wii is purchased via the in-game Rock Band Music Store using Wii Points purchased through the Wii Shop Channel and can be downloaded to the hard drive of the Wii or to an SD card for additional storage. The tracks stream directly from the SD card for seamless play.
