Built by Dare and the Hamburg-based game developer FISHLABS, and inspired by the successful TV ad, Rollercoaster Extreme sends players on a high-speed ride through the Big Apple.
Last year, FISHLABS presented a successful adaptation of another Barclaycard TV ad; Waterslide Extreme. The game was such a hit that after just a few months it had 10 million downloads from the App store.
Speed is king in Rollercoaster Extreme. The faster players fling themselves around the tricky tracks, the more points they collect. Players are up against the clock but they also have to collect objects en route in order to boost their points. But be careful! Players don’t always benefit from the items along the way. The biggest dangers are bridges and gigantic wrecking balls that whiz overhead and which players have to duck to avoid.
The curving rollercoaster tracks of Upper West Side, Downtown, Central Park and Chinatown demand full concentration. Skilled players can unlock additional tracks in the heart of New York as a reward for gaining top speeds and collecting the maximum amount of objects.
