Running With Scissors CEO Addresses First Devry University Game Grads

Tucson, AZ: Vince Desi, CEO of Running With Scissors (creators of the long-running POSTAL videogame series) and Executive Producer of the forthcoming“Postal” motion picture, proudly gave the commencement address to the first graduating class from the Phoenix, AZ-based DeVry University’s new Game and Simulation Programming (GSP) division.

“My goal was to recognize these students, who are truly the stars of the future. They are the pride of this institution, and more important of this generation. The world is changing, society is changing and, thankfully, education is changing.” The speech, while aimed specifically toward the first graduates of the GSP program, was also intended for all the school’s Computer Information Systems, Networking Business, Engineering and Engineering Technology grads.

“We were all very excited at having Vince Desi join us in celebrating our grads,” stated Tim Harrington, an Instructor in the GSP program and an Advisor to the Student Game Development Association. Desi’s speech was motivating and inspirational, while he complimented ours students’ achievements.”

The event was held at the Herberger Theater on February 29th in Phoenix, Arizona.

Desi continued“I just returned from the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco and was amazed to see the intense recruitment effort by the major game publishers, DeVry is right on time!”
