Cambridge, MA—Massachusetts game developer Metaversal Studios has released version 5.0 of the hit Entertainment app Shave Me!, which has been downloaded by over 5 million users since it launched in the App Store. The latest version of Shave Me! adds a new Waxing Kit tool set to the available shaving tools. The kit has been one of the most requested features by the legions of dedicated Shave Me! users.
This update represents a major enhancement to the game and follows the recent Photo Shaving update which allows users to snap photos or load them from the Photo Library on their device and use the photo as a custom “skin” background.
The tools in the Waxing Kit include a pot of hot wax with a popsicle stick applicator and a supply of paper waxing strips that can be positioned and placed to remove hair where wax is applied. The new update gives users on an iPhone or iPod Touch 10 waxing strips to begin with; users on an iPad receive 25 strips initially. Additional waxing strips can be purchased via an in-app purchase option in two increments: $0.99 for 20 strips, or $1.99 for 100.
Other iOS games by Metaversal Studios include Elemites, Bad Apples, Battle Harvest and GameRoom. The Bad Apples puzzle franchise has seen over 1.5 million downloads since launch. The latest Metaversal iOS release, Elemites, is a Real-Time Scrolling Strategy game that launched for iPhone/iPod Touch in September 2011.
