Sheepo, a Puzzle Platformer, is on Kickstarter to Fund its Artists/Musicians

Mobile game developer, Skejo Studios today announced that Sheepo, an upcoming top-scrolling puzzle platformer, is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to properly fund all its artists and musicians. Sheepo weaves the story of the first, super smart, cloned sheep, crafting their own creations, cloned bunnies. Sheepo is a Sherol Chen game, with programming and production by Skejo Studios and will be coming to the iPhone and iPod touch late Summer.

Santa Cruz, CA -- June 20, 2012 -- Sheepo, a top-scrolling puzzle platformer, is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to help fund its artists and musicians. Skejo Studios, who is providing all the programming and game design support, has opened a Kickstarter campaign to help pay its indie artists and composers market rates as they create original artwork and scores for this independent iPhone game.

Sheepo features the pressure of controlling multiple players at once through a variety of hazards and challenging situations. Sheepo is a Sherol Chen game, with programming and production by Skejo Studios and will be coming to the iPhone and iPod touch late Summer.

Sheepo weaves the story of the first, super smart, cloned sheep, crafting their own creations, cloned bunnies. But as they experiment on their own clones, someone is still experimenting on them. As game and story rolls along, various mischief and mayhem unfolds. Created for casual players and serious gamers alike.

The Sheepo artist team includes a PhD candidate at UC Santa Cruz in procedural music generation, an MFA artist, a PhD candidate of Computer Science and an art student with two years of illustration experience.

The core of the Sheepo team also includes:

Sherol Chen is a PhD Candidate at UC Santa Cruz, in the Interactive Story Telling and Playable Media group. She conceived Sheepo and is the driving force for the unfolding story and game/level design.

K. Kral. is an MFA graduate from UC Santa Cruz and was the character and setting artist for Prom Week, an IGF Finalist game. She also comes with many years of game animation and art experience.

Greg Holsclaw is a 5 year Silicon Valley profitable engineer turned iOS game developer. Experience includes numerous successful iOS apps, including a New and Noteworthy Favorite and several Staff Picks.
