Berlin, 23/02/2012: Don your best pirate-y attire and practice your congratulatory “Arrrs” – Bounty Bay Online turned five yesterday, and Frogster is taking the opportunity to thank their loyal players with a spectacular contest beginning on 28 February 2012. One lucky sailor will come out of it with a bad-ass collection of pirate gear.
Bounty Bay Online was officially launched on the 22nd of February 2007 and has been sailing toward success ever since. Right from the outset, there was a prodigious bunch of thrill-seeking adventurers trying their lot on the high seas. Over the years, the expansions Hurricane Island, Raging Seas, Beyond the Horizon and Atlantis have enriched Bounty Bay Online, adding plenty of dangerous missions, thrilling instances and new regions to explore.
With the approach of the next expansion, Poseidon’s Legacy, dark storm clouds are gathering, threatening to send all but the saltiest of sea dogs down to Davy Jones? Locker. The mysterious Temple of Poseidon will lure brave treasure hunters to depths hitherto unfathomable. New instances, perilous canyons, a legendary Temple and a secret stash of treasure are just waiting to be discovered by curious adventurers.
Frogster is really going the extra mile to thank players for their support over the years. For starters, there will be a log-in contest – everyone who logs in during the anniversary week will automatically be entered to win a set of non-virtual pirate gear including a replica blunderbuss pistol, a leather pirate hat, a spyglass and a compass with leather case. Players can also look forward to a challenging crossword puzzle testing a wide range of buccaneer knowledge. The first swashbuckler clever enough to solve the puzzle will be able to call the legendary Black Pearl their own.
