Slug Wars: To Shell and Back Now Available for iPad

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - April 22, 2010

Republic of Fun, developers of radically fun games for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and beyond, today announced the release of Slug Wars: To Shell and Back for iPad. Republic of Fun were able to build on the critically acclaimed success of their iPhone game, Slug Wars, to create a unique experience for iPad that is playable by up to four users simultaneously.

“This truly is a HUGE step forward for the Slug Wars brand,” said Mike Rasmussen, el presidente, Republic of Fun.“It’s a unique game that was built specifically with iPad in mind and has a gameplay experience that brings real-time, four-player gameplay to the device in a way as yet unrealized.”

The Slug Wars: To Shell and Back app for iPad is the sequel to the popular original version for iPhone and iPod touch. The first edition of Slug Wars used troops of slugs to defend home base and destroy enemies. To Shell and Back is more than just a continuation of the old game; it’s a complete re-working of Slug Wars with all new units, towers, gameplay and a unique storyline created especially for iPad. The app also provides four-player multiplayer options, huge maps and even more whimsically detailed graphics.

Slug Wars: To Shell and Back is available from the App Store for $7.99.
