snakebyte has always been offering innovative accessories for all gaming platforms and now also for the first snakebyte product for Android™ and iOS™ systems. The snakebyte idroid:con is a wireless Bluetooth Controller for all Android™ devices version 3.2 and higher and works with iOS™ in iCADE mode.
Other than conventional game controllers for Android™ platforms, the snakebyte idroid:con does not require a separately installed app to communicate with the tablet or the smartphone. So all you have to do is, log onto the Android™ device, start your game and play – just the way you’re used to on your consoles or handhelds. Many Android™ games already support game controllers and enable comfortable gaming without suboptimal controller-emulation on your touchscreen.
Aside from the controller functions the snakebyte idroid:con features three additional operating modes: mouse, keyboard and keyboard/mouse. Now you only need one controller to execute all kinds of input options and which can adjust perfectly to the control scheme of the respective games.
The snakebyte idroid:con works on iOS™ with iCADE. That means, every iOS™ game which uses the iCADE mode can be controlled with the snakebyte idroid:con . In addition, the controller allows the keyboard mode on iOS™.
snakebyte’s idroid:con features ergonomic design for relaxed gaming. It also features two analogue thumb sticks, a digital control pad, six digital buttons and two analogue L and R triggers for perfect game control.
The wireless Bluetooth controller comes with an integrated Li-Ion battery, which can be charged directly with the included USB cord.
The release of the snakebyte idroid:con is scheduled for July 2012 and the SRP is 39,99€.
“We are thrilled to present the incredible snakebyte idroid:con to all Android™ and iOS™ gamers. This controller reflects our already existing innovations in the gaming sector in the mobile and Android™/iOS™ market. The controller fulfills any gamers’ demand for perfect handling, functionality as well as compatibility and it lets you play games on your Android™ and iOS™ platform the way they were meant to be played when they were first created”, explains Mike Steup, Managing Director of Sunflex Europe GmbH.
