Soccer is king in Skylancer – Battle for Horizon

Munich, Germany, June 05, 2012. Soccer fever has infected Skylancer – Battle for Horizon. Just in time for the sports mega-event, the free-to-play browser game is launching an event in which players can collect soccer balls and reap rewards for them. Betting on your favorite team adds even more thrills.

The ball conquers Horizon

Until July 1st 2012, sky captains Skylancer – Battle for Horizon can experience the big soccer tournament up close and personal. By completing special day-quests or defeating opponents, players will receive soccer balls which they can exchange for a variety of rewards. The more balls they collect, the bigger the reward. At the beginning of the event, skylancers can look forward to a soccer chest holding game items such as powerstones, construction plans, or moon crystals. Those who keep diligently collecting can raise the morale of their army with a loud vuvuzela or equip units with yellow and red cards that provide additional bonuses in combat. Especially industrious collectors will even earn a flying soccer ball ship, whose fighting strength is a real benefit to any fleet.

Betting fever and music

Up until just before the quarter finals of the competition, Skylancer players can purchase a package with five construction plans and a betting slip for one of eight fancied teams. After the finals, the slips for the winning team will be transformed into five more construction plans – losers will receive a consolation prize. Those who want to increase their winnings can purchase several packages at once. In addition, the game events in Skylancer – Battle for Horizon are now accompanied by appropriate background music.
