Spil Games introduces new activity feed on world’s leading social gaming platform

Wednesday 25th May, 2011— Hilversum, the Netherlands— For the first time on Spil Games’ platforms, social gamers’ appetite for interaction and communication with other players will be met in a single gaming environment.

Spil’s new Activity Feed feature allows players to see and share their awards, high scores, and achievements with friends in a dynamically updated list on their personal profile pages. This also benefits developers by bringing a viral element to their games, exposing them to an audience eager to share gaming experiences.

The Activity Feed is the latest addition to Spil’s social features—which have proven popular with 130 million unique visitors per month—and is now live on Spil’s social-gaming platforms catering both to teens ( www.agame.com), and families ( www.games.co.uk).

“As our user base grows, we want to provide tools that optimize user experience and allow our users to connect and communicate with each other,” said Oscar Diele, CMO of Spil Games.“The Activity Feed will combine huge amounts of information into a seamless feed that meets the different needs and lifestyles of our key target groups.”

Based on Spil Games’ current usage statistics, the new Activity Feed will debut with over:

<*>420,000 daily achievements posts. <*>150 high scores published every minute. <*>About 500,000 new friend requests every day. <*>More than 200,000 comments left daily.
Sharing awards and seeing the high scores and achievements of others will particularly appeal to teens. They love to compete, show off their successes, and connect with peers in a safe gaming community.

Spil’s female demographic, drawn to puzzles and time-management games, can also benefit from the Activity Feed. It allows them to display their accomplishments to friends—a key component of their favorite games.  Additionally, the feed shows players the most popular games in Spil’s network, minimising their search efforts to save them time.

The Activity Feed is available in 14 countries, with future plans to add it to Spil’s Girls ( www.girlsgogames.co.uk) social-gaming platform.
