Street Fighter and Puzzle Fighter Designer Launching Online Card Game Site at Fantasystrike.com

Emeryville, California -- Februrary 6th, 2012 -- After two years of development, Sirlin Games will launch online versions of Yomi: Fighting Card Game and Puzzle Strike: Bag of Chips at www.fantasystrike.com on Friday, February 17th, 2012.

David Sirlin was the lead designer of Street Fighter HD Remix and Puzzle Fighter HD Remix. And now with Yomi, Sirlin captured the mind-games of high-level fighting gameplay in card form, and with Puzzle Strike he captured the back-and-forth craziness of puzzle games in "chip" form (there are no cards!). These highly-rated games have been available in physical form at www.sirlingames.com, and now the full-featured digital versions are on the verge of release.

"I love that I've been able to take the fun from these really dexterity-based games I've worked on and translate that into a turn-based format that anyone can play," said David Sirlin, president of Sirlin Games. "It took years and years of playtesting and tournaments to balance these games, so they're the kind of games you can play for years and years even at the expert level."

Each game has an online guide, in-game tutorial, and leaderboards. Players can save replays and watch replays from other players. Online tournaments will be frequent, as Yomi and Puzzle Strike both have growing competitive scenes and are both designed to be long-lasting tournament games.

Fantasystrike.com games are free to play, with two different characters available each week on a rotating basis. By playing the games, players earn gold they can use to keep their favorite characters permanently unlocked. They can also buy characters directly or subscribe to get all characters unlocked in all games as well as other perks.
