Students from One of the Nation’s Top-Ranked Video Game Programs Release Xbox Live Indie Game: Minions!

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (May 4, 2011)– Turtle Toss Studio, a team of students from the University of Utah’s undergraduate Entertainment Arts and Engineering (EAE) program (, released Minions! , an Xbox Live Indie Game.  Minions! is a single-player, mission-based shooter where players shoot and blast their way through hoards of evil minions on their quest for ultimate victory! Priced at only 80 Microsoft Points (equivalent to $1 USD), Minions! is affordable for everyone.

About Minions!

Minions! is a twin-stick shooter that can be played from both top-down and third-person perspectives.  Players take on the role of a hero and create a variety of different minions to assist them while completing missions.  As challenges get tougher, their hero unlocks points which can be spent on upgrades such as increased health, stronger weapons, faster movement, and custom minions!

Formed in September of 2010, Turtle Toss Studio consists of ten students from the University of Utah’s undergraduate EAE program.  This program placed second in the nation in The Princeton Review’s 2011 rankings of top Video Game Design programs (
