Self-confessed Commodore 64 junkie and accidental video game designer Cameron Davis has launched http://www.blowthecartridge.com , a site devoted to making comics about classic video games of years past.
The idea is simple: Readers suggest a game they loved playing by leaving a comment or voting on the poll, and every Wed nes day (see what we did there) a new retrogaming comic will appear through the magic of the Internet. HOORAH, INTERNET.
There’s almost a hundred games lampooned on the site already, including favourites such as Wonder Boy, Elite and even Horace Goes Skiing. There won’t ever be comics about Mario, Zelda or Donkey Kong – there’s already a million of them out there. Blow The Cartridge is about taking you on a long trip down random access memory lane.
So why are you seeing a press release? Simple! Not only do you deserve to take a few minutes from your work day to read some comics, but if you’re an editor of a magazine and you’re interested in running these comics in your publication, we would love to talk to you. Just email camerondavis@gmail.com and your life will instantly be better...or your money back!
