Swedes raise voices in the States

Monday 6th June 2011: Nordic Games Publishing has today announced We Sing America, the first of its exclusive We Sing games to be released in America, following the announcement of a brand new office in the US.

We Sing America for Wii™ features a host of Billboard 100 chart toppers including US Classics, No.1s and feel good favourites - making it a supreme collection that truly captures America’ s legendary music history for producing global hits.

In-game it has been customised to create a genuine American look and feel, with a bespoke tracklist. We Sing America boasts all the popular features from the previous We Sing range and has now seamlessly been integrated for the American market.

“After 18 months of European domination within the Wii™ singing genre, we’re ready and able to bring the same successes to the US,” says Nik Blower, sales and marketing director, Nordic Games.“The adoption of home-spun singing stars in the US has been and still is massive. We Sing America will fit in with the US love of music and performing exceptionally well, homemade divas will never have had it so good!”

We Sing America will feature 40 tracks in total, the majority of which include the original videos. Each track has its own rating and can be played in short or full length song modes.

We Sing is the only singing series of games to support four players in any Party mode, integrating a USB four-port hub for four microphones. Party mode includes We Sing, Versus, Group Battle, Pass The Mic, First to X, Marathon, Blind and Expert.

There’s also Solo mode and Karaoke mode, which strips the track of vocals to really challenge players.

Other features include Singing Lessons to help singers fine tune their voices to rival any professional and Jukebox mode allowing people to play the entire 40-song tracklist continuously. Players can also line-up their favourite songs using the Playlist feature and play them in any mode.

In-game awards come from playing either single or multiplayer modes, adding further depth and replay value to We Sing America. Plus, once a track has been sung, players can replay performances and add cool effects to their voice.

More points come thanks to Star Notes which provides extra points for hitting hard notes and Player Statistics give a detailed breakdown on how good the performance was.

We Sing America will only be released in the US. More information including full tracklist and release date will be announced in coming months.
