DUNDEE, UK - 21/09/2012 – Tag Games Ltd.

Tag Games is pleased to announce its latest recruitment coup in hiring Graham Chambers, ex Amazon UK Head of Games & Software. Graham joins Tag Games as the studio’s global  Head of Sales having previously served as Managing Director of Ubisoft UK, Managing Director of Gauntlet Entertainment, Sales Manager at Nintendo UK and, of course, five years as a head of games buying at Amazon.co.uk.

This is another exciting development for the Dundee, Scotland based mobile games studio as it continues to expand within a rapidly growing global mobile games industry. Within the wider context of the video gaming industry, this hire again demonstrates the shifting outlook of traditional console development and sales professionals. Whereas digital and mobile studios were once seen as second class environment in which to build a successful career in games, now they offer a viable and potentially more rewarding alternative for ambitious employees.

Graham Chambers’ recruitment represents another step in the studio’s push for increased quality and capacity as it looks to expand its worldwide business-to-business reach. Already this year Tag Games has initiated an aggressive workforce expansion plan; has unveiled worldwide industry-leading proprietary social mobile technology; has announced partnerships on several leading developments, including Ubisoft’s Might & Magic Clash of Heroes; and has launched its very own social mobile publishing brand ‘ Tagplay’.

Paul Farley, MD of Tag Games commented:

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Graham to the Tag team. I am looking forward to working closely with him as we continue to grow the studio in both stature and scale. His unique blend of experience, skills, network and expertise will be of huge benefit across all aspects of the business, especially in attracting the very best global clients for our industry-leading bespoke game development offerings.

Attracting him from Amazon is a fantastic coup for Tag and another sign that we are experiencing a power shift in video game industry from the traditional console retail space to mobile and download.

Graham Chambers, Tag Games Head of Sales Worldwide added:

I’m delighted to join Tag games at such an exciting time. The studio is working on some great projects and has many more in the pipeline that are yet to be announced. Tag is truly at the forefront of mobile games development in the UK.

In conjunction with the great team already in place at Tag, I will aim to use my experience and relationships to help grow Tag into the largest independent mobile games development studio in Europe.
