BORDEAUX, FRANCE - August 7, 2013 - Motion Twin is excited to announce that their latest game, Teacher Story , is now available! Teacher Story lets players take on the role of Professor James Norray as he uses turn based combat teaching to blast the stupid out of his students. Literally! This charming RPG with classic mechanics and pixel art is now playable for free in browsers everywhere at Teacher-Story.com .

School is in Session!

As Professor James Norray, you set out to turn your class of clowns into star pupils using hilarious, revolutionary teaching methods. With over 60 wacky “attacks,” like Wisdom Curveball and Teach Harder, you’ll watch in awe as your students become less stupid! Of course, the children will fight back by chatting in class, falling asleep and making gross smells. Those issues can be fixed with a nice, swift Sponge throw to the head - one of Professor Norray’s hallmark teaching methods. Education has never been more fun!

Are you ready to become the greatest teacher of all time? Complete missions by getting your students’ grades up, unlocking upgrades for your apartment. Confiscate contraband from troublemakers to achieve new titles and take your career to the highest levels the educational system will legally allow. Take a, frankly, irresponsible number of stimulants in your search for educational nirvana! Or fail and suffer the wrath of a nervous breakdown. Your choice.

From the Team

“We had the idea for a ‘real time class management game’ knocking around for awhile,” explained Hervé Fehner, Web Project Leader at Motion Twin. “However, the prototype wasn't much fun so it was put aside. Nonetheless, the school system is still a cool, original universe to play with - it has a certain 'hook.’ so we decided to ‘reboot’ the project with turn-based gameplay, making it closer to a classic RPG in style. The problem with the school universe is that there's so much going on, so many fun things to riff on that you need to be realistic about the scope of a project and not over-complicate the fun, thus making it too difficult to get to grips with. In the end, Teacher Story became more and more of a tactical RPG. Instead of focusing on the placement of the hero, we control the placement of the pupils, but the player is still forced to ask the same questions to optimize their actions to the max. In the end, we feel like we made something really special, and we hope everyone enjoys Teacher Story!”
