SAN FRANCISCO – December 14, 2011 – TeamSpeak, a leading voice communication system for gamers, today announced their collaboration with Overwolf, a company specializing in developing in-game overlay software containing advanced web browsing, video capture and playback capabilities, and social networking widgets for online gamers. TeamSpeak users who install Overwolf will now be able to launch a TeamSpeak widget while they play to get full TeamSpeak UI functionality in-game. In addition, the widget includes in-game notifications for server events such as who has just joined or left your server and who is currently speaking. With Overwolf and TeamSpeak, users can also administer their server, change voice settings, manage channels or do just about anything they want with TeamSpeak without leaving their game. The initial release will only support the 32bit version of the TeamSpeak client (64bit will be supported soon). TeamSpeak users who don’t want to wait for an update can simply uninstall their 64bit TeamSpeak client, download the 32bit version from www.TeamSpeak.com and begin using the widget immediately. Overwolf itself currently supports Windows XP, Vista and & 7 (32bit and 64bit) operating systems.
“In-game support has always been one of the top feature requests from our users,” said Florence Espinoza, CEO of TeamSpeak USA, Inc. “With Overwolf, we have found a way to extend almost the entire, vast feature set of communication tools TeamSpeak offers its players on the desktop now as a fully functional in-game experience.”
“TeamSpeak is probably the most advanced communication solution available for gamers worldwide,” said Uri Marchand, CEO of Overwolf. “In-game TeamSpeak support was one of the most requested features by our users, and we are very happy to deliver. This is an excellent utilization of our unique in-game technology and platform.”

TeamSpeak is software for quality voice communication via the Internet. TeamSpeak offers a cross-platform, client/server architecture where the client and server are clearly separated. This means the server product runs as a stand-alone, dedicated server, rather than peer-to-peer. TeamSpeak is capable of handling thousands of simultaneous client connections (or users), which results in an Internet-based teleconferencing solution that works for a variety of applications such as an alternative to conference calls, cutting long distance telephone costs, or simply as a method of personal communication with friends and family. TeamSpeak is most popular among online gamers, where clans and guilds utilize TeamSpeak to strategize and speak to team members while enjoying real-time, quality voice chat, file sharing capabilities, and many other features. The software is free of charge to non-profit entities. TeamSpeak also offers a SDK (Software Development Kit) which allows developers to integrate TeamSpeak VoIP technology into any existing client/server based software.
Founded in 2010, Overwolf is based in Tel-Aviv Israel and focused on connecting game worlds with the social world. The company’s first product, a software overlay client called the “Overwolf Client”, allows users and game publishers to add a rich layer of functionality to any game without touching a line of game code. It allows users to communicate, easily share game experiences with friends and get instant access to web resources from within the game. For game publishers, Overwolf is a tool to effortlessly integrate social media within their games, boost virality and reduce user acquisition costs. To join the beta, please visit: www.Overwolf.com.
