Hamburg, 1 October 2013: It’s a week of regal proportions at “Kingdoms & Monsters“: With its “Happy Android Week“, a ten-day Monster Party from 1 – 11 October 2013, game developer Mobile Monsters ( www.mobile-monsters.com) is inviting both long-time fans and newcomers alike to celebrate the debut of its empire-building strategy game, “Kingdoms & Monsters”. The company’s second game to be released on “Google play“ successfully completed beta-phase testing in September. Over a million matches were played by 50,000 excited gamers during the test phase alone. Those participating in the Monster Party will be able to unlock the new building, “Android Plaza“. This extraordinaire domicile lets gamers accumulate significant money reserves in their treasure chests while also beautifying their kingdoms with a one-of-a-kind structure, complete with the well-known android robot.
“Kingdoms & Monsters“ was launched in March of 2013 and spent the following six months in beta mode to eliminate all the bugs and make sure balancing was properly adjusted and weighted. This meant exciting days and long nights for the young creative team from Mobile Monsters ( www.mobile-monsters.com), a new startup specializing in sophisticated games for mobile devices using Google’s‘ operating system, Android.
“The positive feedback from gamers significantly exceeded our expectations. So we want to thank everybody in the Google Play community who helped us out during the beta phase by offering them a one-of-a-kind item,” says Mobile Monster’s founder Julian Hühnermann, CEO and head monster, in highlighting the festive mood of his team.
The player’s goal in Kingdoms & Monsters is to turn a simple village into an economically flourishing kingdom. In addition to constructing more than 200 buildings, a player must see that resources are well managed and a system of trade in goods is established so that the needs of the both populace and the marketplace are satisfied. The single-player campaign consists of more than 300 tasks that must be completed before a player is allowed lead his princess bride to the marriage altar. The free-to-play game option can be played completely offline without the need of an internet connection.
All gamers, both beta players or newcomers alike, are cordially invited to join in the ten-day “Happy Android Week” and play for the unique “Android Plaza“. Along with gold, “Kingdoms & Monsters” will be using a second currency, so-called “androids,” only during the Monster Party from 1 – 11 October 2013. Once a player manages to collect enough little android robots from his citizens, he will be awarded with an Android Plaza, which cannot be unlocked during regular game play nor will it be made available for separate purchase.
This one-of-a-kind special structure not only continuously produces gold for your treasure chest, it also contributes to the contentment and satisfaction of your townsmen – a combination of properties not found in any of the other 200 buildings available in the game. Visually, this special structure also fits in perfectly with the rest of the beautifully drawn gaming environment. Even the famous green robot from the Android-Logo has been recast using the game’s graphic design and included in the structure in the form of a wooden robot.
