LONDON (February 13, 2013) – Tenshi Consulting has opened registration for its two-day Tenshi Bootcamp of intense sessions and mentoring to prepare new studios for success in the modern games industry. The program is aimed at helping pre-launch and early stage businesses explore new markets and new business models, and to help teams develop commercial intelligenceand business development skills.
The event, which will be held March 12-13 at Grant Thornton, Finsbury Square, London, is designed to challenge attendees, test strategies and discuss specific challenges in a rapidly evolving marketplace.Participants will be given an opportunity to refine their games pitch and to explore their leadership style.In addition learning from industry experts, attendees will meet likeminded games professionals and potential future business partners.
Tenshi’s Ed Daly explains, “We ran a similar event last year with start-ups around Bristol which receivedgreat feedback, so we want to go again. Unlike a traditional conference the focus will be on working with the attendees on their specific challenges: how to get a publishing deal, how to self-publish, what it takes to get investment, and so on. We're looking for companies that want to talk, listen and learn from each other as well as ouraccomplished experts.”
Industry veterans taking part includeIan Baverstock, Jonathan Newth, Ed Daly, Matt Woodley and Matt Sansam, who between them have started, bought and sold games businesses, have worked for start-ups and the world’s largest games companies.
In addition, Epic Games will sponsor the Tenshi Bootcamp.“We are supporting indie games developers and start-ups by sharing our expertise and giving attendees the chance to learn lessons from our own war stories,” said Epic Games European Territory Manager Mike Gamble. “Epic has a long history of helping small teams get a leg up in the business, and we look forward to meeting with developers who are looking for advice at the bootcamp.”
Other speakers will include games lawyers, publisher acquisition experts, digital marketeers and investors.
