The Brick Road of Free-to-Play

Berlin, 17 October 2013:   "Brick by brick" - that is how the free-to-play sandbox-shooter Brick-Force has evolved since its release almost one year ago and built the game to a considerable size. Over two million players have registered and created more than 600,000 maps as well as fought more than four million matches. The publisher Infernum now announces two major changes for the community and all interested players: On the 22nd of October, the new Season 3 – Bricksaga – will be released. Map-builders and shooter fans can look forward to new bricks, costumes and weapons that open up entirely new gameplay strategies for players to experience. The major overhaul for this season however, is the completely redesigned monetization, which guarantees more fairness, an easier start to the game and a better level progression. A new trailer shows the amazing new additions, like the trapdoor and costumes, already in action.

" We want all players, whether they spend money for Brick-Force or not, to have the best possible gaming experience," explains Kristian Metzger, Director of Product Management at Infenrum. He continues: " It is our goal to meet the needs of all players: paying users who expect values for their money, but also non-paying users, who want to experience the game for free. Although it is difficult to find the balance and to ensure fairness, we are sure that we take the right path with Brick-Force! "

To ensure a fair gameplay for all players, Infernum are making numerous changes to multiple aspects of monetization. However, this represents only the beginning of far-reaching changes, as with Season 4, more steps will be implemented to create and even better player experience. With Season 3 comes the following changes:

• Force Points purchasable with tokens

• By levelling up, weapons and functions can be obtained.

• Equipment will be divided into different stages

• Improved user interface for a smoother experience

• Improved Matchmaking for more fairness in games

• Improved XP system for faster levelling
