This week, brand consultants Millward Brown, released 12 for 2012 - their take on the digital trends that will have the most influence on the way marketers use digital channels in the coming year.
Coming in as the no.1 digital trend is Gamification which, the report predicts, will move from the realm of hype into effective executions by innovative brands. In 2012 we'll start to see consumers being motivated by, and engaged with, game mechanics to improve brand experience and loyalty, increase purchase intent and, ultimately, revenue using integrated multi-channel measurement and reward systems.
