LUTZ, FLORIDA - June 19, 2012 – Artix Entertainment, the indie game development studio that creates and publishes download-free, browser-based RPGs to over 150 million registered users, will announce the name of its first 3D browser-based MMORPG in-game in its popular 2D MMORPG AdventureQuest Worlds this Thursday, June 21st in a live streamed sock puppet show.
The new 3D game with the working title AdventureQuest3D, has been in development for several months and has an Alpha launch planned for later this summer. Gamers can see dozens of sneak peeks of the new 3D zones, monsters, and dungeons at www.Artix.com. The AE staff is known for reading all player feedback and comments and has even asked for help with naming the new game. The team admits that naming the game has been one of the most challenging aspects of the 3D game project.
Artix Entertainment is responsible for developing and publishing several popular browser-based 2D games including AdventureQuest Worlds, DragonFable, MechQuest, AdventureQuest, EpicDuel, and HeroSmash. Each of its current games is updated weekly with releases of new content including items, quests, areas, bosses, professions and more.
This Thursday, the Artix team will officially announce the name of AQ3D. At 6 PM EDT, the team will set up a live stream in-game in AdventureQuest Worlds ( www.AQ.com), put socks on their hands, and entertain the players with a live sock puppet show, revealing the biggest AQ3D news since announcing the start of the game project itself.
