20th August 2012 – Things turn on their head this week as Mario becomes your enemy in the classic Nintendo title Donkey Kong Jr™ , on Virtual Console for Nintendo 3DS. In this unique role-reversal platformer you’ll take on the role of Donkey Kong’s son Junior and it’s up to you to rescue Dad from Mario’s clutches. As you make your way across the vines and chains make full use of your swinging and climbing capabilities to grab the keys and unlock your father from his cage.
This week also heralds the return of the dynamic duo Batman and Robin in the free LEGO® Batman 2™: DC Super Heroes Demo . A sequel to LEGO® Batman™: The Videogame , this time they are joined by other familiar heroes such as Wonder Woman and Superman in their quest to prevent the infamous Lex Luthor and The Joker from destroying Gotham City.
Elsewhere on Virtual Console for Nintendo 3DS, ally yourself with Mario once again as you tee off together in the classic sporting simulation NES Open Tournament Golf. Choose from three international courses – UK, US and Japan – and three different game types – Stroke Play, Match Play and Tournament – as you set up your shot and adjust the wind speed and direction for additional accuracy.
If all that isn’t enough, test your logic with Rummikub , on Nintendo DSiWare. This is a game of wits consisting of 104 numbered tiles and two joker tiles in four colours. It’s up to you to remove all the tiles from your rack without revealing them to other players and place them on the table to win the game. Alternatively fast-forward to the future with 2020 SUPER BASEBALL , on WiiWare – with games held in the exclusive Cyber Egg Stadium and the ability to purchase armour during them, this is not your typical baseball game.
