LONDON, 10 APRIL - Another indie developer has totally jumped aboard the crowd-funding bandwagon.
Thomas Was Alone, a minimalist game about friendship and jumping, is due out for PC and Mac later this spring, but creator Mike Bithell needs around $4,000 to overcome the final hurdles.
Specifically, the funds are required to pay for a super-awesome voice actor, and to cover legal and marketing costs. They’ll be the finishing touches to the game that Hookshot Inc.’s Will Porter recently dubbed “a total charmer”.
For their troubles, investors can claim a number of prizes, ranging from a feeling of love to drinks with the developer. Donate $100 and you can even name a character.
Potential investors should head to indiegogo.com/thomaswasalone to contribute.
Crowd-funding is all the rage at the moment, and people are certainly growing tired of it. But if Thomas could get by without a loan, he'd be a very happy quadrilateral.
