THQ ANNOUNCES DARKSIDERS® II ORIGINAL MUSIC SCORE BY COMPOSER JESPER KYD & CAMPAIGN CREATIVE SCORE BY GILES LAMB

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. Mar. 2 , 2012 - BAFTA award-winning Danish composer Jesper Kyd, renowned for his iconic musical scores in the Assassin's Creed and Hitman series, has crafted a thrilling original score for Darksiders® II, the sequel to the critically acclaimed action/adventure title developed by THQ's in-house studio Vigil GamesTM. Kyd's emotionally dynamic score for Darksiders II combines dark ethereal themes and melodic fantasy that enrich the player's cinematic journey through each of the game's unique realms.

Jesper Kyd commented, "Darksiders II is an awesome game and one of the most fun and creatively satisfying projects I have scored. I had a blast working with the team at Vigil."

"It's been an absolute pleasure working with Jesper," said Jeremy Robins, Audio Director at Vigil Games. "He's an extremely talented composer and an avid gamer, who not only created an amazing soundtrack for Darksiders II, but intuitively knew how to cater each composition to achieve maximum musical impact for players."

As well as the game soundtrack by Jesper Kyd, the Darksiders II campaign creative score has been composed by renowned composer Giles Lamb. Giles Lamb has composed TV and Film Music for 100's of TV, films, commercials and games over the years, recently enjoying international repute for the sensational game trailer for 'Dead Island' which won a Golden Lion at Cannes 2011.

Jim Huntley, VP of Global Brand Marketing said, "The emotion that Giles brings to the marketing creative with his unique score is unparalleled. He immediately sets an unforgettable tone & theme for how we're portraying Darksiders II's protagonist, Death."
