August 16, 2011. Two online gaming companies, InnoGames and Ticking Bomb Games Development Studio (TBG), today announced a strategic partnership. InnoGames, a German-based international and world-leading developer and provider of online games, has taken over the majority stake in TBG, which will begin exclusively developing online games for InnoGames.
“InnoGames’ cooperation with Ticking Bomb Games will significantly add to our own strengths, especially in the design of 3D browser games. The acquisition of the majority stake in the studio is an essential step in the company’s development,” explained InnoGames Managing Director Eike Klindworth. “We are always looking for new and exciting partners, not only from Germany, but across the UK, US and the rest of Europe where we know there is exceptional talent – talent InnoGames wants to work with.”
Marco Schultz, Managing Director of Ticking Bomb Games also stated, “InnoGames is the ideal partner for us. The company is known for its sustainable product policy and principle, plus their ‘quality over quantity’ approach is a terrific incentive for a developer studio. Add to this, our close proximity, which allows us a high level of personal interaction, and we have a great match.”
InnoGames, with more than 65 million registered players worldwide, is one of the world's leading developers and providers of online games. The German-based company has scored major success with games such as Tribal Wars, The West, and Grepolis.
Ticking Bomb Games, the 25-employee-strong studio based in Germany, has received several awards in development, including German Developer Award for Europe 1400.
