TIGA releases details on Casual Games Event

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today released further details about its Casual Games Committee and its inaugural event, on May 13 th 2011.

TIGA is creating a new Committee which will focus on raising the profile of and supporting the UK's increasing number of social and mobile game developers. The Casual Games Committee will support companies creating games on all formats, providing their production budgets fall between£10,000 and£500,000.

TIGA’s first casual games event is due to take place on Friday 13th of May in London. Over 100 attendees will be arriving from casual games companies based throughout the UK to network and hear speakers from BBC, BBC Worldwide Games, Autodesk, Channel 4 Education, Microsoft, Mo Pay, Disney, RIM, UKTI, Zylom and key members of the team who created‘Tomb Raider’, Jeremy Heath-Smith and Adrian Smith.
