Return of Trenches Press Release

Trenches returns to the Apple AppStore.

Thunder Game Works, developer of the acclaimed Trenches series, announces that Trenches will be making a return to the Apple Appstore after a year-long hiatus. In December of 2011, Thunder Game Works partnered with Electronic Arts to publish Trenches 2. Once Trenches 2 arrived on the market, Trenches was removed from sale in accordance with the publishing agreement between Thunder Game Works and Electronic Arts.

As of December of 2012, the contract with Electronic Arts is over and Thunder Game Works returns to its indie roots and retaking over the Trenches IP. The first step is reviving Trenches and bringing new and exciting updates to Trenches 2, including new campaigns. Electronic Arts, being a large corporation, didn’t have the infrastructure for quick updates to respond to player feedback, so Thunder Game Works opted to end the contract so that the independent developer could focus on quicker updates and communicate with the player community, which was previously managed by Electronic Arts.

Trenches will launch on Thursday, December 13 and will be available for only $.99. Trenches 2 will return to the Apple Appstore under Thunder Game Works as the publisher in January 2013.

Thunder Game Works will also be announcing new titles utilizing the Trenches IP that will be released throughout 2013 with a variety of game modes that have been requested by users.
