Friday 27th April 2012: Incoming news from the front! New social games label Bad Puppet has announced today that the fun and frantic game My Army has just received a major feature update for iPhone and iPod touch. A cracked coded message has revealed that My Army now includes friendly submarines that you and your troops can use to hitch a ride, and a new dastardly chemical weapon that flips movement controls and causes disorientation.
In My Army you proudly use tilt, tap and swipe controls on the iPhone and iPod touch to keep your brave squad safe, avoiding horrible hazards, dodging rockets, rescuing prisoners of war and liberating countries. My Army is fully integrated into Facebook, allowing you to draft family and friends into battle, share each of your soldier’s war stories, and earn higher Ranks and Army Points that will unlock better weaponry and equipment. Join the fight* and save the world!**
- Fight may result in horrible ending for you and your troops
Gamers and critics alike have been quick to praise My Army:
“Repeated attempts to top the high score inevitably follow, along with much tilting, swiping, gnashing of teeth and tearing of hair – hallmarks of the just-one-more-go greats.”
The Observer
"You'd be hard pressed to find a more frantic, heart pounding experience...it's a ball-breaking, time-sapping winner."
Pocket Gamer
“If you’re looking for a simple yet fun iOS top-down shooter, especially one which has fairly obvious old-school leanings, then make sure you start downloading My Army now.” GodisaGeek
